Developer - Appian
Our team is growing and we are looking for a skilled Appian Developer to design, develop and implement BPM solutions that make a real difference for our clients. You will work as part of a collaborative delivery team, contributing hands-on to the build and testing of Appian applications, translating business requirements into working technicalsolutionsand supporting integration and data migration initiatives.
This role sits within our growing Business Process Managementpracticeand there is genuine opportunity to develop here. You will be supported by experienced Appian practitioners, have access to structured learning and certification pathways and as the practicegrowsso does the scope for you to take on more. What You Will Do
Day to day, you can expect to:
- Design, develop and test Appian BPM applications - building process models, user interfaces,rulesand integrations that meet client requirements and Appian best practice standards
- Work closely with business analysts, technicalleadsand clients to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable Appian solutions
- Support integration work between Appian and other enterprise systems, using REST,SOAPand other API patterns
- Contribute to data migration, securitycomplianceand application deployment activities as part of a wider delivery team
- Participatein Agile ceremonies,contributeto code reviews andsupportknowledge sharing within the team
WhatWe'reLooking For
You are an Appian developer with solid hands-on experience and a genuine interest in growing your capability. Specifically, we are looking for:
- 2-4 years of hands-on Appian development experience - ideally gained in a consulting, professionalservicesor enterprise delivery environment - Appian experience is essential
- Appian Associate Developer certification (ACD101) as a minimum; Senior Developer certification (ACD201) preferred or actively being pursued
- Solid understanding of BPM concepts, workflow automation and Appian platform components including process models, SAIL,rulesand record types
- Experience with integrations using REST and SOAP APIs and familiarity with how Appian connects to other enterprise systems
- Working knowledge of SQL and at least one other relevant language such as Java; comfortable working with data at the application level
- Good communicationand problem-solving skills - able to engage with clients and team members to clarify requirements and work through technical challenges
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and comfortable working as part of a structured project team
- Experience working with New Zealand or Australian government and/or enterprise clients isadvantageous
Not an Appian developer yet?
Candidates with strong hands-on experience in a comparable low-code, no-codeor BPM platform - such as Pega,OutSystems, ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Apps - are encouraged to apply. Where Appian experience is limited, we are looking for genuine platform depth,a track recordof delivering complex workflowsolutionsand a clear appetite to cross-train in Appian.Yourskillswilltransfer well;and we can help you build theplatform knowledge.
