About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Aon New Zealand’s commercial product offering.

As our Commercial Product Propositions Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of how we design, develop, and evolve our insurance solutions — ensuring they are market-leading, commercially viable, and deliver great outcomes for both our clients and our people.

You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders and insurers to build compelling propositions, influence product strategy, and continuously improve how we bring solutions to market. From product roadmap through to execution, you’ll play a key role in lifting capability, driving consistency, and ensuring our offering stays relevant in a fast-moving market.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development and delivery of our commercial proposition strategy and roadmap
• Designing and enhancing insurance products, from concept through to implementation
• Partnering with insurers and internal teams to ensure strong, competitive product propositions for our commercial and corporate segments
• Overseeing the full product lifecycle, including documentation, coverage analysis, benchmarking and performance in-market
• Driving continuous improvement through performance insights and product optimisation
• Ensuring all products meet regulatory, risk, and governance requirements
• Supporting go-to-market strategies through education, communication, and engagement across the business

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

You’ll bring strong commercial insurance knowledge, along with a passion for building and improving products that deliver real value. You’re someone who enjoys working across teams, influencing outcomes, and balancing technical detail with commercial decision-making.

A few key skills we look for:

• Experience in commercial insurance and strong understanding of policy wordings and coverage
• Proven background in product or proposition development and lifecycle management
• Strong commercial and analytical thinking, with the ability to assess performance and viability
• Confidence influencing stakeholders and negotiating with insurers
• Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex ideas into clear, practical insights
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
