Job Description
Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Manager to lead a significant capital fundraising initiative - the restoration of our historic Cherrington House.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in preserving an important part of the school's heritage, while helping shape its future.
About the Role
Reporting to the Proprietors Board, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the fundraising strategy for the Cherrington Project. This is a hands-on role where you will not only set the direction but also drive results and achieve fundraising targets.
You will work closely with the restoration project team and school leadership to build strong relationships and secure support from alumni, families, donors, and the wider community.
Alongside this, you will contribute to broader fundraising initiatives that support the ongoing development of the school.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in fundraising, development, and stakeholder engagement
- A track record of delivering results, including campaign or major donor fundraising
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and inspire support
- Experience with grants, sponsorship, or donor engagement
- A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
