Mechanical Design Engineer (M/F/D)

This is a full-time permanent position (40 hours per week). Located in Auckland, New Zealand.

We're looking for an experienced MechanicalDesign Engineer to join our Design & Development team. This is a greatopportunity for someone who enjoys leading design work, mentoring others, andbeing hands-on across the full product development lifecycle.

About the role

In this role, you'll take thelead on mechanical product design while supporting and guiding a team ofengineers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliverhigh-quality products from concept through to production.
You'll also play a key role instrengthening team capability, particularly around CAD (CATIA) and developmentprocesses.

What you'll be doing (notlimited to)

• Leading mechanical design activities across development projects
• Designing and developing components with a focus on quality, cost, and manufacturability
• Creating and reviewing 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Supporting and mentoring team members, including CATIA training and guidance
• Collaborating with internal teams (engineering, quality, production, purchasing) and external partners
• Ensuring designs meet technical, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Contributing to project planning, timelines, and delivery milestones
• Supporting continuous improvement of design processes and systems (PDM, PLM, etc.)
