Job Title: Part-time Assistant Accountant (Permanent)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Firm Accountant by completing basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
  • Tasks include creditors processing, payroll data collection, Xero maintenance, and general invoicing.
  • Manage invoices for Tenants and handle associated queries.
  • Administer Trust Accounts and conduct end reporting with reconciliations.

Work Arrangement:

  • Newly created part-time role (16 hours per week across two days), with potential for a hybrid working arrangement after training.
  • Initially office-based, not fully remote.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant with exposure to Accounts Payable management systems.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Excel, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build team relationships.
  • Desirable: relevant tertiary qualification.
