About This Role

As a Solution Architect at a leading design and technology consultancy, you will sit at the intersection of sales and delivery. You will shape compelling, feasible solutions that help clients create real value. You will partner closely with Sales and Delivery teams and report to the Head of Engineering.

Your time will be split evenly between technical pre-sales support and billable delivery work. You will guide solution direction from early discovery through to a clean handover and successful execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support pitches, proposals, and RFPs with technical validation to ensure solutions are accurate and feasible
  • Translate complex client requirements into clear high-level solution options, including scope, approach, and delivery considerations
  • Create proof-of-concepts to test assumptions, de-risk delivery, and demonstrate solution viability
  • Advise senior technical stakeholders on technology choices, roadmaps, and trade-offs
  • Balance innovation with practical constraints like budget, timelines, and team capability
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure solution intent, constraints, and key decisions carry through to execution
  • Drive seamless handovers by documenting architecture, assumptions, and risks, and aligning teams on outcomes
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across key accounts as a long-term technical advisor

About You

You are a proactive and resilient architect with a consultative approach. You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You enjoy working across uncertainty, shaping direction, and helping teams deliver outcomes.
