About the job:

We’re looking for experienced Network Servicepeople to help maintain and repair our water, stormwater and wastewater networks across the Thames–Coromandel District.

The role involves:

  • A mix of reactive and scheduled work, ensuring our systems operate efficiently.
  • Actively install, repair or maintain water reticulation networks.
  • Inspect and assess faults, plan the best response, and carry out repair work.
  • Operate tools and machinery safely (training provided).
  • Support with backflow preventer installations and flushing to maintain water quality.

What you’ll need:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Pipeline Construction and Maintenance with Drinking Water Strand) Level 4 or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in the Water Maintenance Industry and previous Water Reticulation experience is also required.
  • Experience in the Water Maintenance Industry is desirable.
  • We need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster.
  • You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently.
  • A full class 1 licence and an ability to drive a manual is also essential.

All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
