The last OFSTED for this school is "good". The right SENCO will have the following: National Award for SEN Co-ordination (or with extensive SEND teaching experience or a willingness to complete the National Award or NPQ for SENCOs. An undergraduate degree or equivalent Evidence of continuing and ongoing professional development relevant to the post Formal Teaching Qualification recognised by the DfE Key Purpose: To support the strategic direction of SEND provision Have an oversight of the day to day operation of the SEND policy with the aim of providing high aspirations and raising SEND pupils outcomes.
