About the role
Do you have experience in Mental Health and have a keen interest inworking with clients in the community providing acute mental health care? The Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Registered Nurse is an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team responsible for providing nursing care to consumers who are experiencing a mental health illness/disorder or alcohol/drug illness. This role practices a trauma informed and recovery orientated care approach in collaboration with MDT, the consumers, their carers and family. The Registered Nurse and MDT engage consumers, carers and family at all levels ensuring an Elevated Human Experience.
The key skills are to have an interest in providing mental health care in the community. Experience is essential for this role.
This position is Monday to Friday with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm and is based in Wellington where there are two positions, however they are also supported by the larger Mental Health team in Dubbo.
The most rewarding aspects of this role is being able to work within the community, meeting new patients and seeing positive outcomes for them from interventions that are put in place.
