Account Manager - Steel Sales

About the role
Drive the growth of our Plates processing business by securing new opportunities, managing key accounts, and delivering technical sales solutions across the region.
This is a hands-on, target-driven B2B sales role where success is measured by your ability to win new business, grow revenue, and build long-term client partnerships.
What you'll be doing
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the region
- Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio
- Prepare accurate quotes and costings
- Deliver sales presentations and product solutions
- Monitor market trends, pipeline, and upcoming projects
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently hit targets
Requirements
- 2+ years B2B / external sales experience
- Proven ability to hit or exceed sales targets
- Strong new business development ("hunter") mindset
- Experience with quoting, pricing, and margin management
- Solid numerical and commercial skills
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline + forecasting
- Confident negotiation and closing ability
- Intermediate CRM / Excel / quoting systems
- Class 1 driver licence
Nice to have
- Steel, manufacturing, or construction industry experience
- Technical or solution-based sales background
- Knowledge of plates or industrial products
