Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting individuals to join TeKauhanganuiTataiTure - Faculty of Law as part of our Kairuruku - Research Assistant pool for 2026.

Assignments may vary in scope and duration, providing valuable experience across different areas of Law.

This is an excellent opportunity for law students, graduates, or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in academic legal research.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collecting, organising and entering data.
  • Assisting with literature reviews and analysis.
  • Supporting the preparation of academic publications and reports.
  • General administrative support for research projects.

You will be a motivated individual who can take initiative and has an eye for detail.

Key requirements:

  • Studying or have completed a law degree (LLB or equivalent).
  • Have strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Are familiar with legal databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Can manage time effectively and meet deadlines independently.
