Water Installer - Christchurch
About the job:
We’re looking for an experienced Water Installer to join our team in Christchurch.
The role involves:
- Installing, repairing, and upgrading wate supply infrastructure across Christchurch.
- Working on large projects involving pipe installations (15mm to 600mm diameter).
- Assisting with water network renewals, connections, fittings, valves, and associated civil works.
- Ensuring high quality workmanship, compliance, and site safety at all times.
- Operating small plant, tools and machinery (training provided where needed).
- Supporting project planning, scope development and continuous improvement.
What you’ll need:
- 2+ years’ experience in water installation, pipe laying, civil construction, or similar.
- Strong understanding of water network installation, fittings, repairs and maintenance.
- Confidence working safely at various depths and pipe sizes.
- You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently.
- A full class 1 licence is also essential (full class 2 license and WTR are a bonus).
- Ap proactive, problem-solving approach and commitment to delivering quality work.
All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
