Te Mahi | About the Role

As Client Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the coordination and delivery of high-quality care and support services. This is a role for someone who takes initiative, drives service improvement, and fosters a positive high performing team culture. You will be detailed in approach and experienced in prioritising operations. Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will ensure services are responsive, well-organised, and tailored to individual needs - from home and personal care support through to complex, long-term, or nursing care.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.00pm), there will be some flexibility required. Based in our Palmerston North office.


Location: Based Palmerston North Office with oversight across Manawatu region, maybe requested to cover the wider Lower North Island as per business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management:Building strong relationships with service users and their families, whanau, co-workers, and other health professionals, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Recruitment & Retention:Involvement in the recruitment and retention process for support workers including performance feedback, education, and training.
  • Health and Safety:Conduct Health and Safety assessments in the homes of service users to ensure a safe environment for both service users and support workers.
  • Roster Management:Coordinate and manage rosters for support workers, ensuring alignment with service user schedules

  • Proven experience in service management, operations, or healthcare coordination.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Empathy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to listen and act with compassion.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and an appetite for problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must have the right to work legally and permanently in New Zealand.
  • A full driver's licence, your own vehicle, and a clear Police Check.
