About This Role

We’re looking for a Senior Sales Lead to help grow our client’s pipeline and support new client engagement across New Zealand. You will play a key role in generating opportunities, building strong relationships with senior leaders, and helping shape compelling proposals for high-value digital and technology programmes.

You will work closely with the Sales Directors, CEO, marketing team, and delivery leads across product, design, and engineering. This role sits at the centre of our client's next phase of growth and will help turn market interest into meaningful client partnerships.

What You’ll Do

Drive Opportunity Origination

Reach out to target organisations with thoughtful, relevant communication.
Build and nurture relationships with senior leaders across New Zealand.
Attend industry and sector events to expand our clients’ network and market presence.
Identify new ways to get in front of potential clients and create a strong first impression.
Support the Sales Directors in introducing and selling our clients’ service offerings.

Lead Sales Operations and Strategy

Develop outreach plans across priority sectors.
Create account-based approaches and lead generation activity.
Build and maintain sales playbooks, templates, and process documentation.
Track market trends and competitor activity to support go-to-market strategy.
Support territory planning, sector prioritisation, and sales planning.

Own CRM and Sales Analytics

Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline visibility.
Produce simple reports, forecasts, and sales performance insights.
Track lead flow, proposal activity, and pipeline health.
Support dashboard creation and reporting discipline.

Support Presales and Proposal Development

Lead proposal writing, pitch content, and RFP responses.
Work with delivery teams to scope solutions and shape estimates.
Create case studies, credentials, and sales collateral.
Coordinate discovery sessions, workshops, and technical demonstrations.
Manage proposal timelines and ensure high-quality submissions.

Support Client Engagement

Help manage client communication throughout the sales cycle.
Support workshops, events, and relationship-building activity.
Assist with contract discussions and commercial coordination.
Help ensure strong handoff from sales into delivery.

This includes work such as digital strategy, customer research, service design, UX, software delivery, cloud engineering, DevOps, test automation, AI readiness, AI governance, and ongoing managed support.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

2+ years in sales operations, sales support, or business development roles.
Experience working with CRM systems and sales analytics.
Strong proposal writing and RFP response experience.
Strong project coordination and process improvement skills.
Good understanding of digital transformation, cloud services, and platform-based solutions.
Familiarity with enterprise B2B sales cycles and technology services environments.

Support generation of $4M+ in new client revenue
Maintain CRM accuracy above 95%
Achieve proposal win rates of 35%+
Complete 80+ qualified proposals per year

Other lead indicators include qualified leads generated, proposal turnaround time, pipeline accuracy, collateral usage, and lead-to-opportunity conversion.
