About the opportunity: Permanent, Full-Time opportunity Onsite - 5 days a week Based in our Auckland, NZ Office The Head of Sales (HoS) is a Senior Leader within oOh!media New Zealand and a core member of the New Zealand Senior Leadership Team (SLT), accountable for driving sustainable revenue growth, strengthening our market position, and delivering aligned commercial outcomes across a national portfolio. Operating as the critical link across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations, you will ensure high-level sales strategy is seamlessly translated into disciplined frontline execution. This role requires a strong alignment between revenue ambition, inventory strategy, customer demand, and delivery capability. As a vital member of the NZ SLT, you will also actively contribute to broader business strategies, provide critical input into enterprise-wide decision-making, and play a defining role in shaping the commercial direction of the New Zealand business. What you'll be doing: Customer & Agency Leadership: Lead senior-level engagement with key agencies and major customers to strengthen strategic partnerships, influence market perception, and unlock long-term revenue growth. You will actively intervene in high-value or at-risk opportunities, steering negotiation strategies to deliver optimal commercial outcomes. Sales Strategy & National Growth: Lead the development and execution of a robust national sales strategy with a clear mandate for revenue growth, diversification, and market share expansion. You will own the revenue mix across regions, portfolios, and customer segments, driving increased contribution from growth markets. Sales Execution & Revenue Quality: Drive disciplined, high-impact execution across sales teams to ensure strong pipeline health, exceptional forecasting accuracy (<10% variance), and consistent delivery against revenue targets. You will embed a fierce focus on revenue quality, including yield optimisation and strict pricing discipline. Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the strategic bridge between Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations. You will align inventory strategy, packaging, and audience solutions with market demand to deliver seamless, end-to-end customer outcomes. Leadership, Culture & Transformation: Lead, coach, and upscale a high-performing sales organisation of 4 direct reports. You will build a culture of commercial ownership, drive talent development and succession planning, and lead the team transparently through ongoing go-to-market transformation and data-led selling practices. You bring a deeply sophisticated understanding of yield, pricing, trading, and commercial growth levers. People Leadership & Development: An inspiring leader with a history of building high-performing teams through coaching, capability development, and a strong performance culture, all while supporting employee wellbeing and career growth. Operational Excellence: The ability to execute complex business plans with discipline and precision. You bridge the gap between high-level strategy and frontline execution effortlessly, leveraging CRM insights to optimize team performance and productivity. You possess a strong ability to cultivate deep executive relationships with media agencies and major clients. Education & Accreditations: Degree: Master's degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent veteran experience in senior commercial leadership roles).
