Provide credible, highly specialised expertise to New Zealand's NSD community, to bring the best of AWS to the mission.

As an account executive for NSD you are expected to have technical knowledge and accumulated experience in the defence industry or the defence industrial base. You are expected to be able to maintain security clearances.

Work closely with Australian colleagues and the wider AWS defence community to support solutions that are adapted for New Zealand, but interoperable amongst partners.

Key job responsibilities
Ambiguity
- You handle ambiguous initiatives/programs/projects/problems/strategies/solutions/situations where the problem/strategy may not be defined.
- You use your expertise and judgment in your domain to determine the right goals, inform decisions, manage and set customer/stakeholder/partner expectations, and design long-term solutions.

- You lead the end-to-end delivery of simplified solutions for the best outcome, are able to present a variety of those solutions, and represent the benefits and challenges with each approach.
- You mitigate long-term risks and find a path forward in difficult to complex situations.
- You make trade-offs between short and long-term needs.
- You clear blockers with the right resources, escalating when appropriate.
- You are learning to force multiply.

Communication
- You are clear and concise in your verbal and written communication.
- You are trusted to present decisions to leaders up to levels above you (L10).
- You are able to communicate across an increasing diversity of locales, roles, and functions (e.g., Design, product /program, engineering, Functional Marketing, Finance, PR, Sales, external partners).
- You write narratives (e.g., 6-pagers, MBR/QBR/HBR/YBR, COEs, Mission, Tenets, PR/FAQs) and present them to leadership and cross functional teams.
- You may own inputs into OP1/OP2.
- When communicating, you foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (builds consensus).
