Step into a high-impact account management role within one of New Zealand’s leading packaging manufacturers, managing a portfolio of long-standing, high-value customers.

This is a relationship-led role where the groundwork is already in place. Your focus is on strengthening partnerships, improving account performance, and driving growth within an existing portfolio — not cold calling or building a pipeline from scratch.

You’ll operate in a fast-paced, highly operational manufacturing environment , where accuracy, responsiveness, and clear communication directly influence production outcomes and customer satisfaction.

This role suits someone commercially astute, detail-conscious, and comfortable working in a structured, technical environment where standards are high and execution matters.

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of established key accounts

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Warehouse, Packaging/Engineering, Marketing/Brand, and Senior Leadership

  • Translate customer requirements into clear, accurate production and scheduling instructions

  • Partner closely with internal production and operations teams to ensure seamless, on-time delivery

  • Monitor job progress, timelines, and service performance across multiple accounts

  • Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing customer relationships

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure account data integrity

  • Proactively resolve issues, keeping customers informed and confident throughout

  • Balance client engagement with day-to-day coordination and operational follow-through

What you’ll bring
  • Experience in account management within manufacturing, packaging, print, FMCG, logistics, or similar operational environments

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities

  • Confidence working with production or technically driven processes

  • Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy is non-negotiable

  • Strong systems capability (CRM, ERP, Excel)

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust across multiple stakeholder groups

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a structured and controlled way

  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong follow-through
