Salary: AUD 70,000 – 80,000 per annum + Superannuation
About Us
St Kilda Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned, single-branch small animal practice. We provide high-quality care and advice to all clients and their pets. The clinic has a dedicated team of 4 veterinarians and 4 nurses, with access to in-house specialists including surgeons and ultrasonographers.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team full-time. This role involves performing duties aligned with the veterinary nurse scope of practice, supporting veterinarians, and contributing to the smooth operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
•Nursing duties in surgery, reception, and general animal care
•Assisting veterinarians during medical procedures, surgery, and anesthesia
•Administering medications, vaccines, and monitoring patient recovery
•Performing basic diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
•Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining veterinary and surgical equipment
•Maintaining accurate patient records and stock inventory
•Advising clients on animal care, diet, and preventive health
•Supporting reception and administrative duties as required
•Assisting in staff training and mentoring junior nurses
About You
•Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Veterinary Nurse
•Relevant qualification in Veterinary Nursing
•Preferably holds Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•Professional, organised, and able to work in a dynamic clinical environment
