Salary range: $76,600 - $86,600 - depending on skills level and work experience + superannuation.
Job Closure date:30 days

About This Role:
We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Child Care Worker for an exclusive partnership with a prestigious, community-focused preschool. This role is ideal for an educator who believes in the power of a holistic, play-based approach and values creating a warm, homelike environment for children. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can contribute to this nurturing atmosphere, design a stimulating program inspired by the Early Years Learning Framework, and build strong, collaborative relationships with families and the wider community. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Program Delivery & Child Development:
• Design and implement stimulating educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Facilitate intentional teaching moments through play-based activities including storytelling, music, art and sensory exploration
• Observe and document children's progress to support individual learning goals and share insights with families
• Guide social-emotional development by modelling positive behaviour and conflict resolution strategies

Daily Care & Wellbeing:
• Maintain impeccable hygiene standards including nappy changing, toileting assistance and mealtime supervision
• Create predictable routines that provide children with emotional security while allowing flexibility for spontaneous learning
• Conduct thorough safety checks of indoor/outdoor environments and resources before activities
• Administer first aid when required and follow health management plans for children with additional needs

Family & Community Engagement:
• Build trusting relationships with families through daily conversations and formal progress updates
• Collaborate with room leaders to create displays that make children's learning visible to parents
• Participate in community events and centre initiatives that strengthen family connections

Compliance & Professionalism:
• Maintain current working with children check - first aid certification and relevant qualifications
• Contribute to quality improvement processes through reflective practice
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance practice

Skills & Requirements:
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
• Proven 1-year minimum experience in long day care or similar setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standards
• Genuine passion for early childhood development with endless patience and creativity
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates as well as proof of vaccination
• Working with children rights
• Police check
• Strong communication skills to engage with children, colleagues and families
• References from previous employers
