The Role & Team
Based in our stunning Auckland office (Ponsonby) the HR Manager is an opportunity to work alongside a supportive and collaborative HR team (alongside an HR Director, HR Advisor, and Talent Partner). This role sits within the Corporate Services function with daily interaction with our CEO, Finance, and Infrastructure teams.
The HR Manager manages and delivers the full spectrum of HR as well as a myriad of exciting projects.
What's Involved
This is your classic HR role with loads of variety and responsibility, in a fast-paced environment. To give you a taste of what's involved:
- HR advice, coaching, and support to all staff and managers. Including HR 1-1s / check-ins.
- Driving the successful delivery of HR projects - e.g. HR automation, L&D, Culture and engagement projects, remuneration, performance reviews, etc.
- Administering and facilitating regular HR processes - policy updates, performance and remuneration reviews.
- Revamping and improving existing processes, policies, and ways of working. Continually seeking ways to streamline, automate, and innovate.
- Demonstrating exceptional skill and care across ER, including performance management, conduct, and coaching.
- Bringing a fun and warm energy that drives engagement across the company.
- Contributing to the development of HR team members through coaching, mentoring, and the transfer of practical HR expertise.
About You
The HR Manager opportunity will be a hit for an HR superstar with:
- 5+ years HR experience (Senior Advisor, Business Partner or HR Manager level).
- A relevant qualification / certification.
- The ability to thrive in a busy environment with frequent context switching. You can prioritise (and re-prioritise), pivot, and flex with changing business needs.
- Exceptional quality and skill within HR, including high attention to detail and fantastic people skills.
- Proactivity, a high sense of drive, and making things happen.
- Well versed in working with and adapting to a variety of personality styles, approaches, and ways of working.
- A calm disposition and an excellent communication manner that enables one to navigate complex scenarios with poise, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- A solution focused mindset, including methods and techniques to coach, mentor, and develop managers and staff.
- Highly personable, professional, and empathetic.
- A sense of humour and fun!
