Job Description Practice as a GP with a closeknit team in the bustling rural town of Paeroa, either permanently or as a long term locum. This established family practice with a mixed demographic will stretch your GP muscle, with plenty of chances to stretch your adventure muscle after hours. KEY INFORMATION General Practitioner Permanent GP position/Locum 6 months + Flexible hours 2-4 days per week (up to 8 sessions / 32 hours, negotiable) Paeroa, Hauraki THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM The team includes 3 GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, 4 nurses (including a new graduate), and 2 Healthcare Assistants. With the support of their fantastic admin crew, they deliver comprehensive patient care, including advanced treatments, routine medical procedures, and essential support services. Their new purpose-built premises in the heart of the Paeroa township are open during the week for appointments and available for emergency care at all times. As an accredited teaching practice, they regularly host doctors in training and medical students. LOCATION Paeroa is a regional hub on the edge of the Hauraki Plains and smack bang in the middle of a rich gold mining history. Less than two hours from Auckland airport, an hour from the beautiful Mt Maunganui beach, or the unique Coromandel peninsula. Closer to home, bike the Hauraki rail trail, climb Mt Karangahake, eat woodfired pizza at The Falls retreat or groove to a gig at The Refinery.
