Campus and Collegiate Life Services Division is privileged to lead a group of world class services at Otago University, dedicated to promoting the unique Otago experience and collegiate nature of the institution.
College Catering is a large food service operation producing over 8500 meals per day to eleven University Colleges.
The role/Te mahi
We are seeking for a Front of House Supervisor to work in our busy Caroline Freeman College food service team.
This position is responsible for the front of house service of college meals. Other duties include cleaning and some food preparation.
Your skills and experience/Ka pukeka me ka wheako
You will be a hospitality professional with a varied background in food service, strong communication and team building skills.
We are also looking for candidates with:
A high level of enthusiasm and customer service.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
Experience in the supervision of service staff.
An ability to develop and maintain effective networks and key relationships.
You will be committed to continuous improvement and always able to organise and prioritise an unpredictable working day.

This is a permanent, full-time, semester time only position (February to November), located in Dunedin.
Hours of work are 40 hours per week, Wednesday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm; Saturday and Sunday 11am - 7:30pm.
Position will commence in July 2026.
The appointment range is $26.96 - $28.04 per hour. Top of range is $28.57 per hour.
While this position will commence in the Caroline Freeman College, if there is a need, this position may be relocated to another College on the Dunedin campus.
