The role | Te mahi

We are looking for an enthusiastic Administrator to join our Health Science First Year programme, where you will play a key role in supporting both staff and students. You'll provide comprehensive administrative support across core operational areas, including:
coordinating assessment processes;
managing student communications;
monitoring attendance;
delivering professional front-desk services, and
supporting meetings.

You will also contribute to maintaining and enhancing administrative systems through clear documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting part time opportunity to join a high-performing and dedicated team.

You are a motivated self-starter with proven experience as a high-performing Administrator who is passionate about delivering excellent service to students, staff, and customers. You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine commitment to positive outcomes for all.

Experience and skills needed are:
Proven experience working in a busy administrative environment.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn and navigate new systems quickly.
Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.

This is a part-time (18 hours per week), fixed term position until 26 November 2027 based in Otepoti, Dunedin.

The appointment range for this role is $63,508 to $68,185 per annum. Top of Range $73,640 (pro-rata)
