Location: South Wairarapa
Hours: 18 to 32 hours per week, (Monday-Friday)
Type: Permanent Part-Time
About the Role | Te Mahi
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse-open to both new graduates and experienced nurses-to join our Homecare Team.
This role is dedicated to supporting a male adolescent client to safely access and participate in the community. You will work as part of a small, supportive team, helping to promote independence, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement in daily life.
You'll be supported with a comprehensive orientation and ongoing clinical guidance, making this an excellent opportunity whether you are starting your nursing career or bringing valuable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a young adult client to access the community safely
- Transport the client to and from secondary school and attend school with them using the client's provided vehicle.
- Contribute to personalised care planning and clinical oversight
- Work collaboratively with a small support team
- Monitor progress and review goals regularly
- Support and guide Community Support Workers
- Identify and escalate concerns appropriately
- Empower the client to live as independently as possible
About You
- Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate (or eligible as a new graduate)
- Open to new graduates and experienced nurses
- Passion for community-based care and supporting young adults
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, adaptable, and solutions-focused
- Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
- Candidates residing in Carterton, Greytown, Martinborough preferred
