Enable New Zealand is a Crown-owned entity on a mission; to support disabled people and their whanau to live everyday lives in their communities. We do this by effectively managing access to equipment, modifications and information services for disabled people and their whanau on behalf of Disability Support Services (DSS) - Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

With our head office centrally located in Palmerston North, we deliver services to thousands of New Zealanders each year as Aotearoa's largest disability equipment provider.

Mo tenei turanga mahi | About this role

As the National Manager - Professional Advisory Services you'll be responsible for a national team, including Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy trained staff providing professional advice. You will ensure their advice is consistent, high quality, evidence-based, and aligned with organisational objectives and funder expectations.

In addition, you'll also set the team's professional standards, manage complex and high-risk decision making, and ensure the function is future-ready, efficient, and adaptable.

You will play a central role on the Operations Leadership Team, and serve as Enable New Zealand's senior professional expert, offering valuable insights on function operations and strategy, policy, and service delivery models.

  • Provide national leadership of Professional Advisory Services, ensuring consistent, highquality professional advice.
  • Establish and maintain professional standards, frameworks, and guidance to support sound, defensible decisionmaking.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a highperforming, multidisciplinary advisory team.
  • Provide expert advice on complex, highrisk, or highcost cases.
  • Ensure the advisory function supports equitable, efficient, and sustainable service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency, including process improvement, automation, and responsible use of emerging technologies.
  • Support contract performance and value for money for funders and clients.
  • Develop and deliver an annual plan aligned to Enable New Zealand's strategic priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with internal leaders and external stakeholders, including DSS-MSD, ACC, and sector partners.
  • Contribute professional leadership to organisational strategy, policy, insights, and risk management.
  • Embed Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and equity considerations into practice.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Palmerston North.

You'll be a respected allied health leader with strong strategic leadership and people management capability and are passionate to improve outcomes for disabled people and their whanau. You'll also be an excellent communicator, collaborator and change agent who is committed to quality, equity, and customercentred service delivery.
