Account Manager

Note – this role will be kept open for an extended period as we work through the closed selection processes in Retail.

Working for a well-established insurance broker, you will focus on building long term client relationships, new business and strategic growth. With a national presence and supportive leaders across the region, join us in a role that incorporates client servicing and business growth.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is also to provide technical broking and support liaising with clients, underwriters and external partners. You will play a pivotal role in managing risks and driving growth across your existing portfolio.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying opportunities for growth both within your existing client base and new business
  • Providing professional, accurate and efficient responses to client needs through liaison with external stakeholders
  • Actively prospecting for new business opportunities leveraging networks and relationships
  • Coordinating client renewals and preparing premium calculations

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

You’ll be a natural communicator who understands how to tailor to the situation, whether it be face to face, over the phone or through written correspondence. You will have a proven history in sales, new business and retention as well as the ability to work autonomously, of course with support from the wider teams.

A few key skills we look for:

  • Proven experience in insurance broking, with a current L5 General Insurance qualification
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Highly professional with a passion for client servicing.
