Project Manager
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Taupo team, delivering civil infrastructure projects for local clients.
You'll be responsible for preparing offers of service, developing a strong understanding of project scope, and supporting project management activities across the wider Taupo team. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll collaborate with engineers and technical specialists to deliver high-quality outcomes, build strong client relationships, and contribute to successful project delivery.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in three waters or transportation engineering who's ready to grow their capability in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
What you'll do
Act as Project Manager, ensuring deliverables meet client requirements and expectations
Plan and scope projects, including preparing project briefs, proposals, and fee estimates
Manage project programmes, budgets, and financial performance to achieve successful outcomes
Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standard
Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and high-quality service delivery
Oversee project documentation, reporting, invoicing, and change management processes
Identify and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with WSP standards and processes
Contribute to business development, identifying opportunities and supporting bids and proposals
Build collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery
About you
Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline
Around 5+ years' experience in project management or a related Civil Engineering role, specifically within Transportation or 3 Waters Engineering
Proven ability to manage projects from planning through to delivery
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
Collaborative team player who works effectively across multidisciplinary teams
High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
Full, clean driver's licence
