Winery Electrician, Marlborough Winery

We're seeking a qualified Winery Electrician to join our Capital Projects team, based at our Marlborough Winery. This exciting role is responsible for the electrical maintenance of all plant and equipment on site, including routine planned maintenance, breakdown service and repairs, and supporting the Delegat capital development programme. This is a full-time permanent role offering 40 hours a week Monday - Friday. Extra hours and weekend work will be required during vintage operations, March-April.

What you'll be doing

• Ensuring all electrical elements of the winery's plant, process equipment, and infrastructure are well maintained to maximize plant availability
• Carrying out internal and external work to agreed standards and maintaining accurate records using Delegat maintenance management software (Upkeep)
• Supporting the commissioning of plant and equipment for each vintage and assisting the Capital Projects team to meet deadlines
• Providing expertise in control, automation, instrumentation, and PLC technology, including troubleshooting and coordination with external providers
• Developing an ongoing understanding of winemaking procedures and supporting R&D for best practice in wine processing equipment
• Championing Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (HSE) compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture
• Overseeing contractor performance and ensuring plant, equipment, and structures are safe for use

What you'll bring

• New Zealand Electrical Worker Registration Board Registered Electrician with a current NZ Practicing license
• Several years' experience as an industrial electrician in similar roles
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with a drive for results and a commitment to high-quality work
• Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a focus on continuous improvement
