Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
ROC TECH LIMITED is a well-established New Zealand technology retailer and IT solutions provider, operating under the ExtremePC brand since 2009. The company specialises in computer hardware, custom-built PC systems, gaming equipment, peripherals, and nationwide e-commerce retail, supplying a wide range of technology products to customers throughout New Zealand.
This is a senior operational role requiring strong commercial judgement, advanced procurement experience and the ability to manage complex supply chain activities across fast-moving technology product categories.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, directing and controlling ROC TECH LIMITED's end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement planning, supplier management, inventory control, warehousing coordination, import logistics, delivery performance and supply chain risk management.
The role is critical to ensuring that the company maintains reliable product availability, cost-effective procurement, efficient inventory turnover and timely fulfilment of customer orders across its retail, e-commerce and commercial sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies to support the company’s operational and commercial objectives.
• Manage procurement planning, supplier coordination, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics activities across multiple product categories.
• Source and evaluate domestic and international suppliers, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms to achieve cost-effective procurement outcomes.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with manufacturers, distributors, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
• Monitor inventory turnover, stock availability, and purchasing forecasts to ensure efficient stock management and minimise supply disruptions.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including shipping schedules, customs-related processes, and delivery performance monitoring.
• Analyse supply chain data and operational performance to identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and service improvement.
• Participate in the development and optimisation of internal procurement and supply chain management systems and workflows.
• Ensure procurement and supply chain activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational risks within the supply chain and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with sales, finance, warehouse, and technical teams to ensure smooth operational coordination and timely fulfilment of customer orders.
• Supervise and support supply chain or procurement staff where required, ensuring efficient team performance and continuous improvement.
•Prepare supply chain reports and recommendations for senior management, including procurement performance, inventory status, supplier risks, cost-saving opportunities and operational improvement plans.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field; alternatively, relevant industry experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, procurement management, logistics coordination, or related operational management roles.
• Strong experience in supplier management, procurement negotiation, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
• Experience working with international suppliers, import/export operations, or large-scale procurement environments will be highly regarded.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.
• Good understanding of supply chain systems, procurement workflows, and operational compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced commercial environment.
•Experience managing or supporting procurement teams, warehouse teams or cross-functional operational teams will be highly regarded.
