About the role
As a Field Sales Executive, you will be responsible for growing revenue within your territory by securing new business and developing existing customer relationships. You'll act as a key point of contact for your clients, ensuring a high level of service while identifying opportunities to offer DHL's full suite of products and solutions.
This is a hands-on, target-driven role where you'll manage your own pipeline, build strong customer relationships, and actively contribute to the success of the wider sales team.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and networking
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers to maximise revenue
- Maintain regular customer contact, including face-to-face meetings and calls
- Build a strong understanding of customer needs and propose appropriate solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, tenders, and account plans
- Negotiate pricing within company guidelines
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity in CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Service, Operations, customs and Finance
- Contribute to sales campaigns, promotions, and events
What you'll bring
- Experience in field sales or account management (or relevant experience in the express freight/logistics industry)
- A proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Good planning, organisation, and time management skills
- A proactive, resilient approach with the ability to perform under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- A full, current driver's licence
- Self-motivation
