Base Supervisor - Distribution of Artificial Breeding Products

Your Role:
Reporting to the AB Logistics & Despatch Manager, you'll be part of LIC's Operations & Service group- responsible for delivering on our promise to customers. This team brings together Artificial Breeding, Diagnostics, Farm Management and Herd Testing to deliver critical products and services across New Zealand.

In this role, you'll ensure all products and services are delivered in full, on time, every time. You'll oversee the daily coordination of delivery drivers across your region, maintaining smooth operations throughout the busy AB season. Off-season, you'll lead the collection of AB kits and plan for the next peak period.
You'll also support a team of 12-14 seasonal delivery drivers during the AB season, ensuring they're set up for success.
Your Key Focus:
Ensure consistent, efficient and on-time delivery of semen and AB equipment
Coordinate delivery drivers and support delivery run planning
Manage inwards and outwards stock, with accurate monthly reporting
Oversee maintenance of the regional AB vehicle fleet and rental vehicle coordination
Support RABOMs with planning and delivery of the annual Spring Conference
Manage distribution and return of technician equipment, cases and Datamates
Champion Health & Safety for AB drivers, ensuring compliance (including LN2 transportation), and actively manage incident reporting and hazard registers
Your Key Skills & Experience:
Highly organised, with strong time management skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Confident using MS Office and internal systems
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
Clear, professional communicator (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail across reporting, documentation and stock control
Customer-focused mindset
Proven logistics and resource coordination experience (vehicles, plant or equipment)
Knowledge of LIC operations and/or the dairy industry (advantageous)
Farming background or sector knowledge (desirable)
Demonstrated ability to drive improvements and implement new ideas
