Senior Laboratory Technician- Production

Your Role:
Based at Newstead and reporting to the Team Leader Production you will be working in the Liquid Despatch Lab as a key member of the Semen Production team.
This role is responsible for carrying out key semenprocessing activities to meet despatch deadlines.
You'll also take on a leadership role in supporting and coordinating seasonal staff-helping maintain smooth, efficient operations during peak periods.
Your Key Focus:
Staff supervision, training and maintenance of staff training records.
Assist Team Leader Production with recruitment and rostering.
Quality control and compliance.
Liquid Semen Allocation of LIC's LLL products.
Meet daily operational despatch requirements.
Review, update and implement standard operating procedures.
Involvement in technical and operational technology and process change.
Support procurement and maintain adequate stock levels.
Your Key Skills & Experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in delivering effective staff training.
Ability to effectively problem solve.
Experience working in a high-pressure production environment.
An understanding of laboratory operations and quality standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders.
Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise competing tasks.
Competent use of Word and Excel. Familiarity with SAP would be beneficial.
A tertiary qualification in science and/or laboratory experience is preferred but not essential.
