Employment Consultant - Kairapu turanga mahi

Workwise, a New Zealand employment agency, is currently seeking Employment Consultants (Kairapu turanga mahi) to help individuals find and maintain employment, particularly those facing personal or health challenges.

These roles involve supporting clients through job searching, securing positions, and offering ongoing support. While experience in social services, health, or related fields is preferred, lived experience and support for Maori and Pacific people are also valued.

Key aspects of the Employment Consultant role include:
Supporting individuals:
Working with people facing personal or health challenges to achieve employment goals.
Job search assistance:
Helping clients with job applications, interviews, and connecting with potential employers.
Ongoing support:
Providing guidance and support to help individuals maintain their employment.
Community-facing role:
Engaging with the community and building relationships with various stakeholders.
To be successful in these roles, you may need:
Relevant experience:
Working in social services, mental health, addiction, youth, disability, or employment sectors.
Lived experience:
Personal experience in navigating challenges related to health, wellbeing, or employment.
Cultural sensitivity:
Experience in supporting Maori and Pacific people.
