We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sawmill Labourer to join a busy sawmill team. This is a long\-term opportunity with ongoing training and the potential to move into a supervisor role.<\/span>
<\/p>

This role involves physically demanding and repetitive work. You will be on your feet for the entire shift, working either outdoors or in a covered shed environment.

• $25.00-$25.50 per hour + 8% holiday pay (higher earning potential for supervisor)<\/span>

• Monday to Friday work with 6am starts<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>\n
• Temp\-to\-perm opportunity for the right candidate<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>\n
• ASAP start<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>\n
• Training provided across multiple areas of the sawmill<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>\n
• The right candidate will be trained to move into a leadership \/ supervisory role

  • Need to have the right mindset and be able to take on responsibility in the future<\/span>

  • Comfortable with repetitive physical work & being on your feet the whole shift<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Able to work independently and within a team<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Reliable candidates with own transport (no public transport access)<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Able to pass a drug test and MOJ check<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Right to work in New Zealand<\/span>
    <\/span>

    Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>
    <\/p>\n

    • Assisting on the green table by stacking timber onto pallets<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Working and communicating across multiple stations within the sawmill<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Learning sawmill and machine operations<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • General labouring and production support duties<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment, including general housekeeping and cleanup duties<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
      <\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n <\/ul>

      Suitable backgrounds include but are not limited to:<\/b><\/span>
      <\/p>\n

      • Sawmills or woodworking industries (e.g. Frame & Truss)<\/span>
        <\/span><\/li>\n
      • Manufacturing<\/span>
        <\/span><\/li>\n
      • Machine operation<\/span>
        <\/span><\/li>\n
      • Warehousing<\/span>
        <\/span><\/li>\n
      • General labouring<\/span>
        <\/span><\/li>\n
      • Food processing (e.g. knife hand)<\/span>
        <\/span><\/li>\n
      • Farming \/ fruit picking<\/span>
        <\/span><\/li>\n <\/ul>
