Purpose of the Role
In this role, you will work closely with project managers, consultants, and clients to deliver design solutions from concept through to consent and documentation. If you enjoy a mix of site work, design, and stakeholder collaboration, this could be the perfect opportunity.
You will play an important role in delivering projects that improve accessibility and functionality for communities across New Zealand.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct site visits and gather project requirements
- Translate client and consultant input into concept designs
- Produce architectural drawings and documentation for building consent
- Work closely with Project Managers and drafting teams
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand building regulations and standards
- Liaise with councils, consultants, contractors, and clients
- Coordinate documentation and manage design timelines
What We're Looking For
Essential
- LPB Design 1 (minimum)
- Strong ArchiCAD capability
- Experience in building construction or refurbishment projects
- Knowledge of New Zealand building codes and consent processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Experience across residential projects
- Experience with accessibility modifications or government programmes
- Experience working with planners, engineers, and quantity surveyors
- Project coordination experience
- Proven ability to meet and manage KPIs
- Strong knowledge of Excel
