Drainlayer - Dunedin
About the job:
We’re looking for an experienced Drainlayer to join our team in Dunedin.
The role involves:
- Repairing and maintaining stormwater and wastewater networks across Dunedin.
- Assisting with technical guidance on drainage projects — from developing scopes and schedules of work to ensuring quality and compliance.
- Understand all reworks, and ensure learnings are bought to appropriate staff’s attention
- Operating and maintaining small plant and equipment, including vehicles (training provided where needed).
What you’ll need:
- At least 2 years of relevant Industry experience.
- A good understanding of drainage maintenance, installation, and repairs.
- A strong focus on health, safety, and environmental care.
- We need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster.
- You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently.
- A full class 1 and 2 licence and ability to operate a digger.
- Ability to work efficiently and problem solve under pressure.
