MECHANIC
Job Description
We are an Auckland-based company and are looking for a full-time mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while delivering high-quality customer service. Your Working hours will be a minimum of 30 hours to a maximum of 45 hours from Monday to Friday. You may require working on weekends and public holidays.
Job Duties for Mechanic:
· Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
· Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions
· Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.
· Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
· Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested.
· Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
· May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
· Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tyres
· Must be physically fit.
· May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.
Key Requirements:
· To be successful, you must have 2 years of relevant Work Experience or at least a Level 4 or higher qualification (Subject Area Flexible)
· Be able to work well within a team environment.
· Be honest and reliable.
· Be self-motivated and efficient in work procedures.
· Be quick and accurate when carrying out duties.
· Have good communication skills, listen, and follow instructions.
· Be punctual and be able to work extra hours when required.
· Clean Character Background
Salary can be negotiated as per your experience level between $30 to $35 per hour.
