We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Enterprise Account Executive to lead Commvault's growth across New Zealand's public sector and key South Island enterprise accounts. You will be accountable for achieving quota by selling Commvault solutions into a defined account list - comprising central government agencies, local government, and selected strategic enterprise customers.
You will own the full sales lifecycle and work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and drive multi-quarter sales growth, account penetration, and long-term customer success. Your focus will be on secure software, SaaS, and data protection solutions that support compliance, cyber resilience, and digital transformation across NZ organisations.
Key Objectives:
Achieve and Exceed Sales Quota
Drive quarterly and annual revenue by securing new business and expanding existing strategic accounts across NZ, with a primary focus on government and South Island opportunities.
Build Strategic Campaigns and Account Plans
Develop multi-year account strategies to win and grow high-value public sector and enterprise customers, incorporating financial targets, stakeholder mapping, and measurable success outcomes aligned to NZ government priorities.
Lead Executive and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders - including SEs, partners, marketing, and executive sponsors - to build, progress, and close complex, high-value sales opportunities.
Establish Commvault as a Trusted Technology Partner
Position our platform as mission-critical for organisations seeking secure, scalable, and compliant data management and cyber resilience solutions.
How you will make an impact:
- Sell Commvault's secure software and SaaS solutions through direct engagement and partner collaboration across NZ.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans focused on central government agencies, local councils, and key South Island enterprise accounts.
- Build and lead complex sales campaigns involving multi-stakeholder decision-making groups, from technical teams through to senior executives, procurement, and risk/compliance stakeholders.
- Own the full deal lifecycle - from pipeline creation through qualification, negotiation, and close.
- Navigate NZ government procurement frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.
- Deliver compelling business cases and executive presentations.
- Maintain strong pipeline coverage and accurate forecasting.
- Stay current with NZ public sector priorities.
- Leverage partners and alliances to expand reach.
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated success in enterprise software and SaaS sales within NZ or Australia.
- Experience selling into NZ government preferred.
- Proven track record of closing six- and seven-figure deals in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise procurement processes and buying cycles in NZ (both private and public sector).
- Experience in cybersecurity, data protection, disaster recovery, or enterprise data management solutions.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including CIOs, CISOs, IT leadership, and executive sponsors.
- Experience working with and through partners, including system integrators and channel ecosystems.
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or similar.
- Strong commercial acumen - including deal structuring, pricing strategy, and negotiation.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- High level of discipline in pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM usage (e.g. Salesforce).
