Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Tauranga
Our busy Tauranga business has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer. You will provide highquality geotechnical engineering consultancy services while contributing technical leadership to strengthen WSP's geotechnical and engineering geology capability. You'll work closely with regional and national clients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and play an active role in project delivery, business development, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, monitoring, and reporting across a range of projects
- Manage and contribute to project proposals, design briefs, fee estimates, and offers of service
- Lead and support project teams to deliver work on time, on budget, and to a high technical standard
- Maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards including NZ standards and the NZ Building Code
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
- Support business development activities and identify new market opportunities
- Champion health, safety, quality, and wellbeing across all project and site activities
- Act as a technical mentor and role model within the geotechnical team
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 6 years' consultancy experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng) Status or working towards this.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused, and client-centric approach.
- A full, clean driver's licence.
This position is full time, 40 hours and 5 days per week. The remuneration range for this position is $117,000 - $127,000 per annum, depending on experience.
