The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll become the go-to expert for all refrigeration systems , working across ammonia and freon plant equipment. You’ll be central to keeping operations running smoothly while also contributing to exciting upcoming projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial refrigeration, HVAC, and cooling systems
- Maintaining plant performance through proactive servicing and component replacement
- Supporting major upgrades and projects, including a new ammonia plant installation
- Identifying equipment needs and helping optimise plant performance
- Bringing ideas to the table to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety
- NZQA Level 4 trade or similar qualification in refrigeration (essential)
- 3–5 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration , ideally with ammonia and/or freon systems
- Strong fault-finding skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- A limited electrical licence is a bonus — or willingness to obtain one (full support provided)
- Someone who is already based in NZ is highly preferred
