Job Description

TMT Property Services Limited is an Auckland-based property and construction services company established in 2018. The company provides practical construction support, pre- and post-handover rectification, exterior works, residential and commercial maintenance, and project delivery support for new residential, multi-unit, commercial and public housing projects.

Our services cover site assessment, planning, construction coordination, handover support and ongoing maintenance. We work across residential, commercial and government-related projects, with project implementation supervised by Licensed Building Practitioners and carried out in line with New Zealand Building Code expectations. The company is based around the Mt Wellington area and is well positioned to support projects across Auckland.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Civil Engineering Technician to support our construction and property project team. This role will assist with technical coordination, site documentation, drawings, measurements, quality checks, project records and communication between site teams, contractors and management.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, site supervisors and external contractors to help ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with design, specification and compliance requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Prepare and update site sketches, layouts, plans, and project documentation for property maintenance, renovation, and site improvement works.

· Site inspections and measurements are completed to support ongoing residential and commercial property projects across multiple work sites.

· Review construction drawings and site. Instructions to assist with day-to-day coordination and on-site activities.

· Collect site information and project data to support planning, material estimates, and maintenance scheduling, and process reporting.

· Assist with estimating material quantities and checking completed works against project specifications, council requirements and company standards.

· Monitor on-site work quality and help identify repair, maintenance, or compliance related issues during project delivery.

· Assist with site testing, drainage checks, and condition assessments relating to construction materials and property improvement works.

· Liaise with project managers, supervisors, contractors, suppliers and clients to support smooth project delivery.

Requirements

· A relevant bachelor's or above qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.

· OR at least three years of construction, property, civil, or site-based experience.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.

· Good understanding of civil engineering, construction drawings, building processes and site coordination.

· Strong communication skills and willingness to work with site teams, contractors and management.

· Good computer skills and ability to use relevant engineering, drafting or project documentation tools.

· A practical, responsible and problem-solving attitude.

· Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project records.
