About the Role:

Our Herd Test Technicians use LIC vehicles to deliver and install Herd Testing equipment in dairy sheds throughout the region. They then return the following day to collect the completed samples and equipment. This is a fast-paced role which requires excellent time management skills and physical strength as handling heavy equipment is a must.

Working in Taupo/Kinloch region, this is a short-term role to cover the seasonal peak for around 9 months. The role will suit individuals who love being outdoors and have flexibility with their working hours. This is a dual role involving a Field Tech and Assist Role.

About You:

To hit the ground running in this role, you will ideally know your way around a milking shed and have a reasonable level of fitness and physical strength. Other key attributes are:

  • A clean full Class 1 driver's licence.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Being self-motivated, professional, and reliable.

  • Exceptional time management abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Flexibility with working hours and locations within the Taupo/Kinloch region.

  • Tech-savvy with a 'can-do' attitude.

  • Assisting the customer with herd testing processes during milking, ensuring the Dairy Herd Testing standards are followed.

  • Set up sheds in a timely, accurate manner and feedback to the Team Leader any variances in equipment and set up times.

  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner so that information can be subsequently processed efficiently.
