Job Description
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week for full-time
Hourly Rate: NZD $30.00 – $35 .00 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Layout:
l Independently read and interpret workshop drawings.
l Perform precise layout, measuring, cutting, and fit-up of components.
l Operate engineering machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Welding & Technical:
l Execute high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum.
l Ensure all welds meet structural standards and quality requirements.
l Perform post-weld treatments (cleaning, polishing, etc.).
Workflow & Teamwork:
l Manage and prioritize daily tasks to meet project deadlines.
l Solve technical problems independently on the workshop floor.
l Provide guidance and support to Fabrication Assistants or apprentices.
Health & Safety:
l Maintain a safe and clean work area; strictly follow Health and Safety regulations.
Skills and Experience Required
l At least two years relevant fabrication experience or
l A Level 4 or above qualification
l Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
l Solid understanding of metal fabrication methods, material properties (stainless steel/aluminum), and workshop tolerances.
l Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
l Ability to work independently and as part of a team
