About the Role
Are you a Senior AR Officer ready for your next step, or an established Team Leader who loves staying close to the action?
We are seeking a dynamic Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join our finance function in a highly visible "player-coach" capacity. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Director, you will bridge the gap between high-level financial strategy and daily operational execution.
This role offers a balanced hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home) once you are settled in. This is not a purely administrative desk job - you will spend part of your time leading, mentoring, and focusing a small, dedicated AR team of 3, and part "on the tools" actively managing our high-value corporate ledgers and driving down overdue debt.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead & Mentor: Oversee the daily workflow of the AR team, running weekly aged-debt huddles to keep collections focused and on target.
Drive Down Debt: Take ownership of key corporate accounts, making proactive collection calls to aggressively target 60+ and 90+ day balances.
Protect Cash Flow: Manage complex billing dispute resolutions, handle high-value credit notes, and evaluate client credit risks.
Partner with Leadership: Shield the Senior Finance Director from day-to-day operations by providing crisp, weekly summarised reporting on DSO metrics and ledger health.
What We Are Looking For:
The Experience: 5+ years of end-to-end Accounts Receivable or Credit Control experience, with at least 1-2 years in a senior, step-up, or supervisory role.
The Mindset: A tenacious, solutions-focused operator who thrives on picking up the phone, negotiating firmly, and hitting cash flow targets.
The Tech: Strong intermediate Excel skills and solid experience with mid-to-large tier ERP software systems, SAP preferred. Salesforce experience is a bonus.
The Style: An empathetic leader who can coach a transactional team while maintaining outstanding commercial relationships with our clients.
