About the Role
As Philanthropy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding World Vision's philanthropic community across New Zealand. You will leverage your existing networks, build new strategic relationships, and create opportunities for supporters to connect more deeply with World Vision's mission through meaningful engagement, experiences and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of high-value relationships. Identifying, cultivating and stewarding major donors through deeply personalised engagement that inspires transformational giving.
- Go where the story is. Travel to meet donors in their location and accompany them on international field visits to World Vision programmes, and curate exclusive New Zealand experiences that turn interest into long-term philanthropic commitment.
- Build the strategy behind the relationship. Develop individual donor plans that balance ambitious fundraising targets for the most vulnerable children with genuine, trust-based partnership.
- Make the invisible visible. Contribute to compelling storytelling that brings World Vision's global impact to life for New Zealand donors, connecting their generosity to real outcomes for real children.
- Collaborate across the organisation. Respond to warm introductions converting networks into meaningful new philanthropic relationships.

Bring discipline to the work. Maintain rigorous donor records in our CRM, manage your pipeline through structured moves management, and report transparently on progress toward agreed targets.

About You
- 5+ years' experience in fundraising, major gift relationship management or business development.
- Proven ability to build strategic, authentic relationships and influence stakeholders across philanthropy, business or community sectors.
- Strong organisational skills with a track record of delivering against agreed targets and deadlines.
- Experience managing donor relationships using CRM systems and structured relationship or moves management approaches
- A confident networker with existing connections in philanthropic or business communities.
- Proactive and forward-thinking, with the initiative to identify opportunities, generate new ideas and drive meaningful engagement.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends and travel within New Zealand and internationally.
- Aligned with World Vision's values and committed to making a meaningful impact for vulnerable children.
