NZ Commercial Distributors Limited (NZCD) is a major player in the automotive sector, recently taking over as the national distributor for Mercedes-Benz Vans in New Zealand as well as a long history as distributor for the FUSO brand. NZCD manages vehicle distribution, parts supply, technical support & training, leveraging the existing dealer network to provide nationwide service and aftersales support.
We are looking for a commercially minded Service Contracts Manager to lead the development, performance, and growth of service contract products across our automotive brands.
This is a pivotal role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of NZCD's suite of service contract plans, driving profitability, improving customer value, and supporting our Sales and Dealer network to maximise contract uptake.
What You'll Do
Manage, develop, and optimise service contract products from launch through to ongoing refinement.
Monitor profitability, financial exposure, uptake, and overall portfolio performance.
Develop reporting, dashboards, and insights to support business decisions.
Partner with Sales, Dealers, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to drive growth and product penetration.
Deliver training, tools, and support that enable teams to effectively position and sell service contract solutions.
Use customer feedback, market trends, and performance data to continuously improve offerings and customer outcomes.
Ensure accurate contract administration, invoicing, governance, and compliance processes.
What You'll Bring
2-5 years' experience in a similar commercial, aftersales, service contracts, or product management role.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with advanced Microsoft Office capabilities (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint).
Sound knowledge of automotive aftersales operations and customer service principles.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance customer and business outcomes.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence and flexibility to travel as required.
Desirable
Automotive, transport, or business qualification.
Experience working with dealer networks and OEM partners.
Class 2 and/or Class 4 HT licences.
