Health & Safety Advisor - Woodbourne
Citycare Property will soon partner with the New Zealand Defence Force Facilities Management Services to provide essential facilities, maintenance, and infrastructure services across camps and bases throughout Aotearoa.
Join us in the role of Health & Safety Advisor, Woodbourne Air Base to support the environments that enable NZDF personnel to focus on protecting and serving New Zealand communities.
RNZAF Base Woodbourne is located west of Blenheim in the upper South Island and serves as a key training and support base where new recruits complete their initial military training.

What You’ll Be Doing | Nga Kawenga Takohanga
- Leading and supporting the effective implementation of health and safety systems across the site, ensuring compliance with CHESS, legislative, and organisational requirements.
- Providing expert advice, guidance, and training to internal teams and Subcontractors.
- Reporting to the Site Manager and NZDF management on all Health & Safey related metrics.
- Promoting a proactive and engaged safety culture.
- Driving continuous improvement through audits, reporting, and incident management
What We’re Looking For | A Matou e Rapu Ana:
- A trained, qualified, and competent Health and Safety Representative (HSR) / Adviser with industry-recognised Health and Safety qualifications with at least one of the following.
- NZ Certificate in Workplace Healthy and Safety (Level 4) OR
- NZ Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety Management (Level 6) OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Workplace Health and Safety OR
- Bachelor of Applied Management (Occupational Health and Safety Major).
- Demonstrated experience supporting Health and Safety in operational or maintenance environments.
- Demonstrated experience in operational risk and assurance identification along with business continuity planning and execution capability.
- Strong capability in proactively managing positive stakeholder relationships.
- Absolute alignment with Citycare Property values.
- The legal right to work in Aotearoa, ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and willingness to consent to a Criminal Record Check
