Rotorua Residential Mental Health & Addictions

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our 24/7 Residential Mental Health & Addictions Service in a full-time (x1 FTE - 40hrs per week) position.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside people on their recovery journey, supporting them to build independence, wellbeing, and meaningful connections. As part of our residential team, you will provide daily support, structure, and guidance, working collaboratively with residents to achieve their personal goals.


This position operates within a rostered 24/7 service, requiring flexibility to work across a range of shifts including weekends and nights.


What We're Looking For

Level 4 qualification in Mental Health & Addictions (essential)
Full drivers licence (essential)
Experience or strong interest in mental health and addiction support
A recovery-focused, strengths-based approach
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to culturally responsive practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Strong communication and documentation skills

Pay & Conditions

$28.25 per hour (Full-Time FTE)
40hrs per week
Rotating roster including weekends, evenings and wakes


Key Responsibilities

Support residents with daily living skills, routines, and goal setting
Facilitate engagement in programmes and recovery activities
Promote positive wellbeing and independence
Work alongside residents, whanau, and community supports
Maintain accurate documentation and handover reporting
Identify and escalate risks when required
