Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Investment to lead the
company’s investment strategy, financial planning, and business growth initiatives.The role is responsible for developing and implementing investment strategy to strengthen the company’s investment portfolio, investment funding, ensure profitable returns to attract new investment and enhance long-term business growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, investors, and business
partners to promote the company’s development projects and investment services across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development initiatives to identify new investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential clients in local and overseas markets.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive investment strategies that align with the company’s goals and market opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with existing investors and secure new funding sources to support project development and expansion.
  • Oversee the financial structuring of projects, including debt and equity components.
  • Conduct market and financial analysis to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and project management, to ensure alignment on investment decisions.
  • Coordinate investment presentations, meetings, networking events, and commercial negotiations with prospective investors, partners, banks and other financial institutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and investment forums to promote business opportunities and strengthen industry networks.
  • Prepare and present investment reports and updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in New Zealand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, stakeholders, business partners, and key clients to enhance long-term business engagement and customer loyalty.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Communication, Business, Commerce, Management, or a related field; OR
  • At least five years of relevant experience in communication, business development, investment, or strategic commercial management.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing investment strategies to achieve business growth objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships in competitive markets.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and business priorities.
  • Experience within the property development, investment, real estate, or related commercial sectors will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to work effectively with domestic and international clients, investors, and business partners.
  • Professional, commercially minded, and results-oriented approach to business development and market growth.
