About the role:
Working closely with our experienced Design Team, you will support both the ongoing improvement of existing products and the development of exciting new ones. From concept through to production, you will see ideas become reality and make a genuine impact on the future of our products.
In this role, you will:
- Develop concepts, CAD models, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
- Support project planning, prototyping, testing, validation and engineering changes
- Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to deliver practical, high-quality and reliable solutions
- Maintain design documentation, version control and engineering records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Work alongside production and the wider team to solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate will be someone who:
- Has practical experience in design, manufacturing or mechanical engineering
- Is confident using SolidWorks to develop CAD models and technical drawings
- Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
- Communicates effectively and enjoys collaborating with others to solve challenges
- Is creative & has a genuine interest in product development, innovation and continuous improvement
- Enjoys solving technical problems and can maintain focus on detailed design work
- Takes ownership of their work and is motivated to continue learning and developing their engineering career
Experience with sheet metal design, fabrication or machining, Adobe Creative Suite, Flow Simulation, and product testing and prototyping would be advantageous but is not essential.
